Many of our longtime readers are probably familiar with our PIO, Jackie Broach, who designs, edits, provides most of the content for and distributes the newsletter. Jackie and her husband, Randy, are about to welcome a baby girl, so Jackie will be out of the office for much of the remainder of this year. As Jackie is the only member of her department, during this time Heather Pelham and Randy Akers will be helping to fulfill many of her job duties in addition to continuing to fulfill the obligations of their own positions. The newsletter, however, will be on hold until January.
In the meantime, there are still plenty of ways to keep up with the latest news and happenings from Georgetown County government. News releases and events will continue to be posted to our website, gtcounty.org and our social media accounts. You can also get updates directly to your email or via text message when items of interest are added to our website.
