Public input meetings will focus on Land Use Element of Comprehensive Plan

The Georgetown County Planning Department will host a series of community listening sessions to gather comments from residents regarding the update to the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan. Residents are invited to attend any or all of the sessions and learn more about the process, as well as offer input. This element of the comprehensive plan will guide development in Georgetown County for the next 10 years.

The county will host three meetings in different areas. All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. Meeting dates and locations are as follows: 

  • Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Howard Auditorium, 1610 Hawkins St., Georgetown
  • Wednesday, Sept. 6 at Murrells Inlet Community Center, 4462 Murrells Inlet Rd., Murrells Inlet
  • Thursday, Sept. 7 at Northwest Regional Recreation Center at Choppee, 8259 Choppee Rd., Georgetown
