Georgetown County’s Building Division has updated the AE Flood Zone Three-Party Memorandum used for new construction and substantial improvements in AE flood zones.
The revised memorandum reflects current floodplain requirements and incorporates the South Carolina General Assembly’s exemption for Georgetown County properties located within or affected by the Limit of Moderate Wave Action (LiMWA) line (Coastal A Zone), as shown on the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map.
Builders, engineers, architects, contractors and design professionals working in AE flood zones should review the updated document prior to permit submission.
