About Everett
The Rev. Ernie L. Cooper Sr. was born to Mr. Ben Sr. and Dr. Ella Bell Cooper. He is the youngest of nine children. He attended Rosemary Elementary and later graduated from Andrews High School. In 1983 he received an Associate’s Degree in Business from Horry Technical College. Rev. Cooper received his Master of Divinity from Amridge University in April of 2021.
In 1984, Rev. Cooper received his calling to the ministry. He started his ministry in February 1987 in Jersey City, N.J. During his time in Jersey City, he served as a Sunday School teacher, Young People's President, and President of the Ministry Team. He was also the youngest member of the Jersey City Ministry Alliance. Rev. Cooper received a bachelor of theory from the United Bible college in June of 1991. He later relocated back to Andrews in 1991.
In 1997, he was licensed with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. and was ordained in 2004. He served on the Carolina State Council Evangelistic Outreach as Vice President from 2005-2010. He also served six years as co-pastor of Greater St. Luke Holiness Church under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Ella Bell Cooper. On Feb. 11, 2007, he became pastor of Greater St. Luke Holiness Church of the 24th Episcopal District of the PAW, South Carolina State Council. On June 23, 2017, he was elevated to District Elder of Region 4 of the South Carolina State Council. On October 17, 2018, he was installed as Pastor of Coopers Faith Chapel of the 24th Episcopal District of the PAW, the community of churches.
An Army Veteran, Rev. Cooper presently serves as a Volunteer Chaplain with Tidelands Hospital System. He served on the Executive Board of Episcopal District Four Council and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Rev. Cooper has been married to the lovely Robin A Shackleford-Cooper for 38 years. They have been blessed with four children: Latonia, Erneisha, Ernie Jr., and Chanel Ashley Cooper. Four grandchildren Madison, Zion, Raelynn and a precious angel in heaven Peanut.
