The numbers are in and the top-circulated book in the Georgetown County Library system for 2024 was “The Women,” a novel by Kristin Hannah. Released in February, it follows Frankie, a 20-year-old nursing student who enlists as an Army nurse and is sent to Vietnam. The book was borrowed 110 times.
The top-circulated non-fiction book was "The Papers of John C. Calhoun" (44 checkouts). "Dog Man" the 2016 book by Dav Pilkey, creator of Captain Underpants, was the top-circulated juvenile book (47 checkouts).
In Juvenile Non-fiction, “The Complete Cookbook for Young Chefs” from America’s Test Kitchen Kids took the prize (18 checkouts). "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan, the first book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, was the most borrowed young adult book (21 check outs), while "My Mum is the Best,” a Bluey book (28 checkouts) was the most borrowed picture book. “Openheimer" was the most borrowed DVD/Blu Ray (52 checkouts).
