Two people putting litter into trash bags.

The Graves Station Community will host a volunteer community cleanup on Saturday, March 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. Anyone interested in volunteering should meet at New Light Baptist Church, 316 Amelia Drive, Georgetown. For more information or to sign up, call Brad McCray at 843-344-7112.

The Georgetown County Environmental Services Division is proud to partner with local communities and groups to assist with volunteer cleanups. Anyone who would like to host a litter clean-up in their community is asked to contact Maureen Mulligan at 843-545-3452 or mmulligan@gtcounty. The Environmental Services Division will provide gloves, safety vests, trash grabbers, trash bags, and important safety information to participants for roadside clean-ups. The Division will also arrange for pick-up and disposal of all trash collected and notify organizations of the total weight of the litter they picked up.
