Starting today (Tuesday, Sept. 23), the intersection of W. Myrtle Road and Hazel Avenue is closed to through traffic for approximately 10–14 days as crews move into the next phase of the Andrews Drainage Improvement Project. The work will deliver important upgrades to reduce flooding and improve stormwater management along W. Myrtle near Cedar Avenue.
Detours
- From S. Morgan Avenue: Take Cedar Avenue north to W. Main Street near the Andrews Recreation Center.
- From Aspen Street (County Road S-22-129): Go north on Pope Street, then left on W. Hemlock to reconnect with Aspen Street.
Local Access
Residents along the project route will retain full access to homes and driveways. Travel beyond Maple Street will be limited during the closure.
Detour signs and traffic markers are in place to guide drivers around the work zone. Thank you for your patience as we make this important investment in Andrews’ future.
