All Georgetown County recycling convenience centers will be closed Friday, Sept. 27, as most are without electricity. Georgetown County is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Updates on reopening will be provided as electricity is restored.
The main damage in Georgetown County from Hurricane Helene has consisted of downed trees and limbs. All major roadways are currently open and conditions are improving. Anyone who encounters a downed power line should stay away and call your utility company immediately.
