Georgetown County recently recognized more than 60 employees for milestone years of service reached in 2023. Employees are recognized every five years. Betty A. Bowens of the Library System was the longest-serving employee recognized at this year’s Employee Service Awards Luncheon. She has worked for Georgetown County for 45 years.
Not far behind was Matthew Grayson of the Sheriff's Office with 40 years of service.
