The latest weather advisory places the center of Tropical Storm Debby just off the coast of Savannah, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and tracking east-northeast at a crawling pace of 3 mph.
Debby is expected to meander over the next couple of days before making landfall again just south of Georgetown County on Thursday morning. We are still forecast to receive major rainfall through Thursday night and Friday morning. So far we have received 3.97 inches of rainfall over the last two days.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for our county and a Storm Surge Watch continues for our coastline. A Tornado Watch is in effect until 1 a.m. Additionally, a Flood Watch continues for the entire county through Friday morning.
