Residents in the North Litchfield area may see surveyors working in the community Dec. 5 through Jan. 3. Surveyors may need to access private property during this time, but will not disturb or damage anything as they perform their work.
Surveyors will only be out during daylight hours and will not be working on Dec. 24-26 or Jan. 1.
This work is part of preparations for an upcoming drainage improvement project that will enhance stormwater flow throughout the community to prevent backups and resultant flooding that occurs in the area during heavy rainfall.
The surveyors are independent contractors, hired by the county. If you have questions or concerns, or want to verify someone you observe on your property is a contractor employed by Georgetown County, contact, Jeremy Cox, the County’s Senior Engineer, at 843-545-3521 or jcox@gtcounty.org.
