Due to winter weather that will create unsafe road conditions, Georgetown County offices and facilities will close at 3 p.m. today (Jan. 21) and tentatively will reopen at 11 a.m. tomorrow. A final decision on reopening will be made by 9 a.m. Jan. 22 based on conditions.
Other county cancellations, postponements and delays include:
- The special meeting with County Council for port presentations scheduled for tomorrow morning at the library has been postponed. A new date will be announced in the near future.
- The Georgetown County Library Board meeting scheduled for Jan. 23 will be postponed to Jan. 30.
- All Parks and Recreation Dept. programs and activities scheduled for this afternoon, including basketball, are postponed.
